Here it is for this week everyone, the What Are You Reading post! I’ve been doing some thinking over the last week and I think part of the reason this thread died down is because the frequency is just too much. We’re all fairly busy people and this subreddit is kind of… not high traffic. I know I don’t tend to make a ton of headway on my reading from one week to another. Maybe a post every two weeks or so would be better? Please discuss.

As for reading, I’m on Sun Tzu and Chuang Tzu this week. Particularly enjoying Thomas Merton’s translation, The Way Of Chuang Tzu, which is delightful and humorous as well as very mysterious and wise. I’ve always loved collections of parables and the Kōan-like nature of Chuang Tzu is very stimulating for me. As for Sun Tzu, I reread the Art of War every year around this time. It’s an excellent book and can be applied to all aspects of life.

Discussion was a little scant in the last thread from some. I’d really like to discourage just naming the books you’re reading. We want to hear what you think of them! You gotta give opinion to get opinion, I do believe. From most though, really fun talking about the nuances of some really cool pieces of literature.

Hope everyone has a good week. Looking forward to discussing.
