There was a recent post that gave a huge list of documentaries/channels by /u/plausiblejosh to fill the void left by history channel. However, it focused primarily on european or american history (somewhat unsurprisingly)

My question is two-fold:

1a. Are there any good documentaries, video series or channels that focus more on the history of the indian subcontinent (any era)?

1b. Are there any good documentaries, video series or channels that focus more on the history of India as it developed broadly from Independence till now?

Would really appreciate recommendations here.

(I'm also curious in understanding how different mediums influence proliferation of certain histories since it seems apparent that the most popular platforms on the internet don't have uniform access to historical content across geography/time. (for example the vast amount of sources/interest for greek/roman/american/european history compared to latin american or south east asian history)).

Disclaimer: I understand the call for recommendations isn't specific but that is a deliberate choice to allow for aggregation of most material possible.
