I am outlining a new book, and everything in the beat sheet is going fairly well, and I've sort of saved the fun and games for last. The other beat sections flow nicely, but fun and games (or promise of the premise is how I see it) is a little more elusive.

What do those familiar with save the cat think of this section, what should be emphasized, maximized, focused on? Given that my midpoint is a false victory, it's an upward curve of obstacle, success, obstacle, success, obstacle, success, massive plummet at the midpoint.

I don't want to just do 25% of the book as "day in the life", but I need my characters to feel like they're on the right track, that the premise is going well, and that each chapter is building toward that false victory.

What I am missing is a notion around "These are the top 5 things the fun and games has to nail." I've read "Save the Cat Writes a Novel", as well as plenty of other online resources. I am looking for tips and other's experiences with using this beat sheet, and how fun and games has been approached successfully.
