Hey everyone, please consider becoming my critique partner (only finished novels please!).

Credentials/About me: I have 10+ years writing experience and I read a lot in my spare time. I've published several short story collections, one novel, and one novella on Amazon and other sites. I've written about ten times as many.

Current WIP: Hourglass, a time-travel fantasy set in ancient Egypt. It's one of my oldest written works, and I've edited it multiple times. At this point, it simply needs an outside eye.

Genre: fantasy with time-travel

Word Count: 120k words

Blurb: 17-year old Simon Walker is about to become the world's most celebrated archaeologist, beating his arrogant cousin at something for the first time in his life. With the hourglass pendant his late grandfather left him, Simon ventures into the Great Pyramid to collect his grand prize, but finds himself in ancient Egypt instead. There, nothing is as it seems. The Pharaoh has been killed, and his sole heir, a daughter of Ra in the company of a young god, struggles to retake her throne from the usurper, the evil god Apep. But only with the Infinity Key, an ancient, legendary artefact of a lost civilization can they rid themselves of Apep, who has been terrorizing Egypt ever since the Pharaoh's death. Simon and his involuntary companions are forced to seek help, but not all who offer it are friendly, and the journey might put a lot more at risk than just his life, revealing a past and future much more perilous than he cares to know, and putting him in danger not only from his enemies but his friends as well.

Read:  On territory of which present-day country did the Father of U.S. Navy Admiral John Paul Jones fight his final major battles?

What I am looking for: A read-through that will tell me where something needs to be clarified/added/scenes you think can be cut/scenes where you don't know why they're included/anything else that bothers you

What I don't need at this point: grammar/spelling correction

I am of course ready to take apart your manuscript in turn as well.

I am good at: plothole detection, grammar/spelling, character and plot development (overall), dialogue, fantasy works in general

I am not good at: reading for theme, romances, thrillers, non-fantasy/non-sci-fi

Turn-around time: I work fast, which means at least a chapter day, but I'm happy to adapt to your speed. The minimum I'd like to do is a chapter per week.

I don't need to say this, but obviously, if either of us feels like they cannot help the other because they do not like the book/don't have time/etc., it is important to tell the other as soon as possible!

Are you interested? Please let me know! I do detailed analysis on chapters as well as the whole book.
